Incorrect removal of stairs object

Hi Photoroom,

We have been struggling for a while now with the model removing parts of an object, which should be maintained in the destination image. The object in our case is gray stairs. We have been trying many different approaches (mostly in the segmentation.prompt) to keep the stairs object, but never with satisfying results. Some photos are correct, some are incorrect (about 50/50 success rate).

At one moment in the process, we have supplied you with a large number of such example photos that include the stairs object, that you would use to train a new model on. I assume the results of this training were insufficient, because we never really heard back from you.

I have included 3 examples (see below) of where the model removes part of the stairs. Example 1 and 2 have the bottom right of the stairs missing. In example 3 the issue is not that clear: the removed part is under the right shoe. For privacy reasons I have hidden the faces.

Please let me know what you can do to finally fix this issue.

Sorry for the delay in response. I was able to recreate the issues with the images and parameters that you have provided. I will forward the results over to our internal team for feedback and get back to you as soon as I hear back. Thank you again and I appreciate your patience

I spoke to our internal ML team and this seems to be a failure of our model. Unfortunately right now, there would not be a different set of parameters that would solve this issue. If you have any other issues, please let me know and I would be more than happy to help.

hi @ajalmazanpr thanks for the update. That’s unfortunate to hear. Before, we have supplied the Photoroom team with a large set of these stairs photos, which would be used to train the model. Have you looked into that too? Regards.
