I am evaluating the Photoroom API for a seasonal photography sport team/individual photos workflow and wanted to confirm a few billing details before committing.
My use case:
I only need automation during a few months of the year (approx 1K-2K total images during that time, the rest of the year is zero)
I need Image Editing features (background replacement and AI relighting), not just remove background
My preferred billing would be paid annual credits, reduced as used, or pay-as-you-go.
A one size fits all subscription doesn’t work for my seasonal work.
Can I subscribe for only active months and cancel for off-season months without penalty?
If cancelled, is billing fully stopped at the next renewal date?
Basic vs Plus feature access
If I am on Basic, can I still call Image Editing API endpoints (background replacement, AI relighting, shadows)?
If yes, how exactly are those calls charged (for example, 1 Plus call = 5 Basic images)?
Are there any restrictions on these cross-plan calls?
Billing currency and taxes
Are API subscriptions charged in USD only, or do you offer AUD billing?
If billed in USD, do you provide AUD invoices or include Australian GST where applicable?
