While Changing the Background of an Image using API, I get different backgrounds

I have been exprementing with the API Funktion of Photoroom in a sandbox. Everything is functional and it works fine when I have a self uploaded Image as a Background in The Image Template. But when using an AI-Generated Background in the Template, I don’t ever get the same Background while calling the API. The Background changes itself, when I test different Products. Is there a way to get a consistent Background, while using an AI-Backgound in the Image Template?

Hi there,

This is an expected behaviour with AI Backgrounds, as it will always look to regenerate the most photo realistic output based on input information. What you can do is apply a background seed to keep this as consistent as possible in your output results.

If you want a result that looks similar to the 4 options generated by the apps, make sure that, in addition to the background.prompt , you also use the same background.seed than the apps.

It works now. I am now able to get a consistent result with the help of background.seed.
