Prompt adherence suddenly deteriorated

I have been having stable generative output using the studio beta model for the past month. For the same prompt and seed it has been producing consistent results.

But today suddenly the generations changed drastically and keeps generating a sky instead of adhering to the prompt instructions.

For all my prompts it ignores the instruction and paints a cloudy skyline.

Could you send the API request as well as the original image? Please do not share the API key however

We’ve improved our behavior when using background.expandPrompt.mode “ai.never”, could it be linked?

Hi Eliot. It could be linked.In my case, I have decided to omit the background.expandPrompt.modefield entirely. That is how I understood the request should be configured to NOT have any expandPrompt behaviour.

In the documentation it says:
background.expandPrompt
If ai.auto, a pre-processing step is applied to expand the prompt into a longer form.
auto and never are legacy values that will be removed in the next major version.

There is no mention of background.expandPrompt.mode nor any mention of ai.never.

But if you changed the default behaviour when no parameter is passed in, then that may have caused the issue.
I’ve also verified, it seems, that passing no parameter gives the same output as passing “ai.never”.

But my results has deteriorated.

Great, much appreciated. We were just getting ready to launch our product when the deterioration happened and currently it’s blocking our release.

Is there any ETA on when it can be fixed? Or other advice that can improve the results and ensure we can release according to schedule?

Thanks for sharing. Given the severity of the issues along with multiple well written and similar reports, Photoroom should have access to all the data and move to swiftly resolve the issue.
